Which is not at all the same thing as "taking care of their humans".

How is proving food and resources not taking care of them?

"Taking care of their humans" (implicitly?) evokes emotions and perhaps even suggests intent.

"Providing resources to others that (may be) offspring and group members" is a description of an observable behavior that could very well represent nothing more than an evolved instinct, unconsciously selected for because it helps to maximize an individual animal's reproductive fitness.

I've seen far too much damage and harm suffered by both humans and pets to know that the most loving, responsible thing a person can do is always remember they are dealing with animals whose behaviors we do not fully understand and cannot always accurately predict, rather than projecting our own feelings and wishes onto them. This is not a difficult concept to grasp, so I do not understand why it has been dragged out for days after the secret was posted.
