I can't believe it's the end of the year. I got sick in bloody April. I think i've spent most of this year ill in bed or trying to do mundane tasks around the house usually in vain.

Accomplishments? Uh... lol. Not so much. I guess i've started learning Chinese to give my brain something to do.

I did some legal work that I'm proud of, wrote some good briefs. A couple cases were actually won, and I think I played a part in that.

I was able to take care of our house for 3 months by myself. I did things like deal with repair people and the installation of a new washer. I'd never done that before, so I feel proud that I've made a big step into adulting. I know now that I'll be ready for living on my own when the time comes. And my cat will be able to handle it too.

I did some volunteer work to help people that I'm proud of. I said encouraging things to people to lift them up. I helped some people who were in dark places. I listened to people who needed a listening ear. I was kind, I think, which is important.

Big: saw a dead body for the first time and handled it well.

Slightly less big: I finished my WIP and it turned out great!

I dunno about proud, but I'm glad I started buying treats regularly for everyone at work and donated more money to charity than usual because this was my first full year of having a full time job. It's nice not to have to save up to treat others or myself.

Of all the other years, it's the one I draw the least, but it's also the year I actually finished more illustrations and got my first commissions. I also made a lot of improvements with my mental health, even considering the set back with the lockdown.

I moved out on my own, got to spend my birthday with my friends for the first time ever, as well as Thanksgiving and Christmas. If you ignore the two month stretch where I was homeless, 2020 actually worked out pretty well for me.

I finished a fic. It's not very long, but I haven't written anything in years and I'm pretty proud of myself for not only writing something, but actually finishing it.

Managed to get my landlord to not increase rent this year. (I have a contract with fixed raises every 3 years)

bought a new washing machine that'll last me hopefully 20 years (one of the most reliable brands)

small proud moment: my semi feral cats are starting to enjoy cuddles. so my 6year-ongoing socialisation is bearing fruits.

Wrote and posted two tiny fics, one of which has 312 kudos and an extremely strong kudos-to-hits ratio. The other only has 147 kudos and the fandom average kudos-to-hits ratio, but I'm still pretty stoked about it.

I also made myself a Fragrantica account and wrote reviews for 80 fragrances so far. It's pretty trivial, but when I look at my reviews I feel more accomplished than I would if I hadn't written them, so I guess that's a win.
