OP, I block people all the time and it has nothing to do with disliking them. I need to curate my feed strictly for my own mood, especially this past year. Tumblr is huge and everyone is mostly strangers. I don't know hardly anybody.

I wish there were a way to block people wo them knowing but Tumblr is stupidly built.

I've blocked people for writing lots of Reader fic, or following celebrity gossip, or formatting their gifsets in ways I don't like, or for over using incorrect tags. I don't even follow them I just don't want to see that content in a tag list and I have one tool to make my experience more enjoyable. Nothing they've done is 'bad' or makes them a 'bad person' I just have more fun without scrolling past their stuff and that's all there is to it. I don't hate them, I don't even know them.
