All true, but Goren and Eames' actors are so good I forgive CI quite a lot.

I don't know that I really ship them romantically either, and I'm a ship hoe. I've read a few M fics with them, but it's been a while.

I think I have to agree with your I mean cop shows are gonna be cool shows (procedurals, whatever) but I always felt like it was the most serious out of all 3. Like, SVU is insane, with all the blatant flouting of the rules, but at least with CI it often felt like they had their hands tied (and probably flouted rules too, it's been a while) and it helps that the actors were so good. Goren will forever be a fave.

And I'll always ship them as friends and friends only. Maybe some deeper bond, something that two people who really know each other and have been through the same thing...idk. But I can't see a physical relationship for them.

Stabler and Benson? Not there either, but definitely A LOT of tension.

Out of all the copaganda possible though (see Blue Bloods UGH), CI isn't so bad. I also think the moments you speak of are there to highlight/criticize. Idk.
