This, so hard. I got into cdramas a year or so ago and wasn't really prepared for this. It's not a full on assault of misogyny all the time, but it sneaks up on you. Like you'll be watching an ordinary scene where two people are talking and a GOOD GUY will say something like, "Yeah, but she's just a girl, she could never [action]" about the adult female lead and I'm like WHAT.

Agreed. It's especially annoying when the story makes those annoying toxic stereotypes unavoidable by being part of the narrative. "Oh no, your woman ovaries are actually karmically bad! Oh no, your womanness is blotting out your ability to do anything! Oh no, we must spend twenty episodes talking about this!"

Toxic stereotypes can ruin an entire story concept for me, and it's just so weird (and tiring) to me how played straight it was in some of the shows I watched.
