Protip: Cosplayers don't generally do what they do just because they're convinced that they look just like fictional characters. Yeah. I hadn't realized it at the time I was in it, but the Harry Potter fandom was something pretty unique. I've been in lots of other fandoms since then, but I've never made as close friends as I had through HP. HP fandom felt like one big giant family, and I really miss that.

135. Odd. I eat right, exercise, actively participate in activities beyond internet fandom. I don't feel like fandom diminishes any of those activities or like I'm not aware of who I am or not actively living my life because of it. Your fandom life does count... Maybe it just shouldn't be your whole life. But I've never met anyone whose whole life was fandom. I'm not sure those people truly exist.
