Inspired by Secret #5, what scene in a book, movie, TV show, game, et cetera have you a really bad case of secondhand embarrassment and why?

Everything in The Office which is why I will never watch The Office.

The bedwetting scene in Schitt's Creek.

Lots of things because I have an embarrassment squick. Anything that involves embarrassment as humor.

okay I know it's not a scene but a whole genre but...I have to admit it. Filk. anyone making songs about fandom is just. god, I can't. It's been over 20 years since I heard my first Star Wars filk and I still just fucking can't.

Same. Fic, art, and cosplay? Get down with your bad self! Filk? Lemme just back out of the room like Homer backing through the hedge...

And just like that I have Tauntauns to Glory stuck in my head for the rest of the night.

With two notable exceptions, Weird Al's Star Wars version of 'American pie' and 'Seagulls' by Bad Lip Reading or whatever they're called.

Everything else is just hives.

Secondhand embarrassment during all of Rock-A-Doodle (1991). I don't like using the word 'cringe' but... yeah. That whole film was cringe. I just felt bad for everyone involved and the scene were the kid turns into a cat had me scrunching my face back as if the screen was emitting a physical force.

Omg that movie. My sister put it on as background noise to do the dishes and because we'd never seen it before. What. The. Fuck.

I can't even think of a particular scene because the last couple seasons of Frasier were so absolutely full of them.

I just kept wanting to yell at several characters in basically every episode that if they just swallowed their ego for five seconds and were honest with each other they wouldn't have wound up in this gigantic stupid mess that is going to leave them all far more humiliated.

Recently I have been watching Schitt's Creek and I really like it, but some episode are hard for me to watch bc of the second hand embarrasment.

Same. I have an episode paused right now that I quit because of secondhand embarrassment.

Oh god, so many. This is why I used to say I hate sitcoms. (Still 99% true but I enjoyed Selfie (apart from the pilot) and Powerless a lot.)

Singing or rapping. Even if it's good, it's just nails on a chalkboard for me every time.

I can't watch things where people have to go undercover

About ninety percent of the book Ship It gave me secondhand embarrassment. I mean, the beginning starts with the MC looking up gay porn in her school library in order to make her gay fic more realistic or some shit and it just goes downhill from there.

The entire movie: Ready when you are Mr. McGill.
The main reason is the character Joe McGill, who just really should just keep quiet most of the time, please, do us all a favour.

Practically every minute of Fawlty Towers. Do I really need to explain why?
