I haven't read this secret yet because SPOILERS. I just want to know is this show worth watching? It's been on my list for a month and I've been hesitating. Same with Bridgerton.

I watched it because everyone seemed to be loving it and... it's okay. Basically it's a classic underdog sports plot, but with chess and an amazing period feel. It's not quite style over substance but IMO, the style is a big part of it. Or maybe I'm not that interested in chess, hahaha.

It gets an A+ from me. Easily one of the best things I've watched this year. I'd probably say it was the best, but I happened to also watch Halt And Catch Fire this year, and it's one of the best shows I've watched ever, so it took the top spot.

I started off thinking that it was well-made and formulaic but I ended up being really engaged, and the ending is easily one of my top ten endings of any TV show.
