No, I agree with you that it's also sexy and Dommy when he does that, which is why I write that as well as Greg/Alex stuff. Trust me, the bulk of TM shippers, at least the ones I hang out with, don't just ship Greg/Alex. We ship Greg with everyone. <3

Taskmaster has been my go to lately- so happy to see a TM secret!!

I love the asides but more in a warm humor kind of way.

And while I think they kind of aim for a tongue in cheek Dommy vibe between Greg/Alex, it doesn’t really read beyond tongue in cheek to me.

I haven't read this secret yet because SPOILERS. I just want to know is this show worth watching? It's been on my list for a month and I've been hesitating. Same with Bridgerton.

I'll just say I am related to people who grew up in KY in the '60s, in Lexington, and while they grew up with a healthy understanding of how blackness and being female would ultimately (not) work for them, they have straight up told me that racism and sexism simply wasn't an issue day to day or even month to month for them. Racist powerful people held a lot of sway *cough* Adoph Rupp *cough* and people there will throw a fit if you tried to change ~traditions~ that are ultimately linked to white supremacy. And it's still wildly racist and sexist structurally. But people don't really like to be more than casually racist and usually only with strangers, and the type of culture will allow one (1) woman to be great.

The pill were treated ambiguously imo.

But yas, this was fantasy history, welcome. I get what you're saying but I want my "woman has one (1) struggle" plots too like men get with their fantasy history.

I read that the book author was battling an substance abuse himself and I feel like writing a an idealized version of what he went through, with a pretty female prodigy protagonist is not very surprising.

Oh, god, yeah, that Christmas episode was tough to watch when I was a kid. It'd still be tough for me to watch even now, as an adult.

I liked Porkchop, myself, but I can see where he'd be off-putting to some.
