I'm pretty sure the fact that there is heavy kink involved is the only reason he is now uninsurable. If it were "just" him abusing his fame to manipulate young women into sex and then cross their boundaries, then half of Hollywood wouldn't care. He could have kept quiet for half a year and gone right back to how things were after the next few scandals took the attention off him. Look at Woody Allen, look at Casey Affleck, look at so many of the rich, white, mediocre men in this business. The only reason Depp is experiencing consequences is because he kept reminding people instead of laying low.
