I feel close to the end of my teather and the only thing that's stopping me from killing myself is the fact that I'm the main carer for my parents and brother - but otherwise I'm just going through another crying fest alone and realizing the older I get the more worthless I become, especially when trying to apply for jobs with fuck all on my Resume and zero references (all the places I had been volunteering for years have either closed up and/or the people who would have given those references; have either died or left without a trace of contact since most only wanted to be contacted through the organizations).
I'm just coming to the conclusion that once my family is gone I might as well off myself and be done with it.

Oh nonny. I'm in a similar place and it's just so fucking hard. You're not worthless, it sounds like you've been working your ass off for years. I hope something comes your way nonny. Take care of yourself.

Those organizations that are gone/people who have passed are still references, but beef up what you did. Nobody knows now you weren't a manager.

Take care of yourself as well as everyone else, anon. Are there organizations you can call on? I got to that point and found that yelling for help in all directions really did help. Otherwise people will just let you get on with it and go under, the lazy bastards.

Could you manage to put that you're a caretaker on your resume? It def takes skills, responsibility, and emotional fortitude to do that. I know it's tough out there.
