I am legit amazed this even got made. Is it stupid of me that after BLM I seriously believed we'd start seeing a broader range of tv shows? Not a cop show set in, IIRC, one of the most racist eras and areas of the US?

It is set in modern times, but yeah, not a great spot.
Though I did read that Jared/the show runners were going to confront immigration and other such issues on the show in a more positive/progressive way, so who knows.

Oh sorry, it was the pic that made me think it was set in ye olde times. Well you never know, the show might twist it round.
