Yeah, this is my first time playing an AC game and when their eyes turn a different color it scares the crap out of me.

Also the first month of playing I was roaming around at night and found one of my villagers (it was Papi the horse) and went to talk to him. He suddenly started wondering if the island was fake and this whole thing was just a virtual game as my character started sweating bullets before saying he was joking. Scared the crap out of me and I legit thought my game had been hacked.

That's part of the preset dialogue for Lazy villagers, thankfully nothing (outwardly) ominous.

I've never gotten mine to say that, they just love talking about how everything on my island tastes good o_o EVERYTHING.

OH. Thank you for clarifying that, I legit kept thinking back to that moment wondering if it was my imagination playing tricks on me or if it was real.

Ah yeah, Lazy villagers be like that. My lazy villagers send me stuff with a note saying "I found this under my bed, licked it and it didn't taste good so here's a present!" with fossils. Like bb what the hell happened under your bed for you to have dinosaurs in there???
