I'm going to guess it's an outgrowth of "JK Rowling made goblins the greedy bankers in her book, history has always painted Jews as greedy bankers, therefore goblins = Jews" in all contexts no nuance ever.

ftr I don't believe this whole JKR deliberately meant for her goblins to represent Jewish people narrative, it's a bit of a stretch, but that's going to be my guess as to where anyone newish to fandom would now think that road goes both ways and all depictions of goblins anywhere everywhere is antisemitic at the core.

The depiction of goblins in ways that resemble anti-semitic stereotypes didn't originate with, and isn't at all limited to, JKR (although JKR's goblins are extremely antisemitic)

though I agree with the broader idea that not all depictions of goblins are anti-semitic, it's a very silly idea
