This show used to be one of my favorites. I've learned a lot since then about the actual accuracy (or lack their-of) of a lot of the forensic techniques they talk about, though. And it makes it hard for me to watch the show now, because I start wondering about the cases and if any of the people were actually innocent or if the scientists involved were fudging or whatnot.

Yes, it's always baffling when a show has parents just never around the baby/kids, or doing stuff that you just don't do when you have a baby/kids (like sudden, spur-of-the-moment trips out of state or not coming home until 3 am, etc....)

I also really hate the 'we haven't showered in two weeks!!' thing with babies/new parents. Bring the kid into the bathroom in a swing, chair, car seat, whatever, and shower. They'll be fine.

I also don't like when the media basically acts like their life was unchanged which is why I think the "babies ever after" only works when the tone of the show allows family moments.
