That one came to my mind, too (never seen the show, but I've heard a lot about it). But hell, given the description of this character, there's really no shortage of potential possibilities regarding this secret :p. The only thing that helps narrow it down some is that it's clearly a current show, since the secret mentions some recent moment happening in canon.

And yeah, to OP, I get your being annoyed with that person. I would be, too. Like you said, these kinds of fan favorites are nothing new.
