Oh hey, I become a Sailor Moon fan during that time period too! I think Toonami aired on one of my local channels for some reason and that's how I started watching Sailor Moon. I know a lot of people hate it and I get why they do, but the CWI dub is my absolute favorite and Linda Ballantyne is still my favorite voice for Sailor Moon.

I never really got into the fandom for Sailor Moon though. I didn't have internet at home during that time period and we were only allowed to use the school computers for homework. By the time I got internet, I was more interested in Inuyasha and YuYu Hakusho than Sailor Moon.

I think Sailor Moon really resonated with a lot of people during their formative years because, at the time, there wasn't anything quite like it on TV. There were other magical girl shows, but they weren't as exciting as Sailor Moon. At least that's how it was for me. Looking back on it now, it's dated and kinda corny, but I'll never stop loving it.
