I think FS become more hostile. People calling each other on everything. Is it trendy? The fake "oh dear/ summer child/ I feel sorry for you". The politics. The cursing. I'm just happy I have Discord for my general Fandom socialization needs. FS being small doesn't mean it's nice.

I think it's the pandemic and all the other RL bullshit anon. Everyone's stress levels are through the roof and people are acting out because it's an anonymous forum. Things will settle down again.

I don't think it's any more hostile than it's ever been. In fact, it's far less hostile, compared to the shit-slinging of years past (that often got threads frozen).

Nah, I've been on this site for ages, and that's not an impression I've got. At least it was openly hostile or troll before, not the pseudo enlightened condescending attitudes I see now.

I'm pretty sure the pseudo-enlightened condescending attitudes were there even then. But in the absence of obvious trolls, maybe it just seems like it's everywhere.
