I want to add that since submitting this, I've realized format probably has a lot to do with it. Back when I played mafia with a core group of people, playing in any other way besides the specific way we played it felt like playing four-square at a different elementary school.

I love the premise though and I've been reading fic and watching all kinds of videos, so add it to my long list of "things I got into but not in the right way" apparently.

OP you might like Town of Salem if that's how Among Us made you feel. ToS is basically you and your best deductive reasoning VS how stupid/smart are the other people on your team? It's 8x better than Among Us.

Yeah I was gonna ask, are you playing with randos or with friends? Cause mafia-type games are way better with people you know.
