I wish Once Upon a Time Hook had remained a side character, especially since I read a fan theory that the original plan might've been for Hook to die killing Pan because Pan was his father, not Rumple's.

Plus that would've left them free to use the original backstory for Rumple's dad--that he was a gambler beaten to death in front of young Rumple when he was going to leave town (and his son and bad debts) behind.

I didn't make it that far, but the show could've even brought him back as his AU self in later seasons--but without his being raped, ffs, rape is not suddenly hot because a woman's the perpetrator and a man's the victim.

Plus I just hate original flavor Hook. He's less Hook and more a weird hybrid Wesley/Jack Sparrow, but with more sleaze and rape jokes and less charm.

I definitely didn't like Hook as a romantic lead. Personally, I wanted to see more Hook and Neal, especially in terms of their relationship when Neal was a child and Hook tried to take care of him.

I hated Hook, so I agree. I wish he hadn't stuck around.

You know, i always felt like in theory, OUAT was the kind of show I wanted,but I could just never get into it. Maybe it was the storylines or the casting, i don't know. I wanted it to be attractive in a way it wasn't.

Sad because I love Wesley & Sparrow, and I had hoped for Hook but apparently nah
