What exactly do people hate about it? I'm not being contrary, I just don't see what makes it hateworthy. It's definitely not my favorite line of the song, but it fits with the rest of the song, and it's not like the rest of the song is a lyric work of genius.

The line itself doesn't bother me, it fits in either way with the song. It's the song itself that annoys me (musically and lyrically -- although I understand and like many people can relate with that feeling of the passing of time and things from youth etc etc this is just not how I enjoy expressing it). And frankly the group that made it. Maybe they are very nice individuals (i wouldn't know), but they give me such douchey vibes, such...ugh. i can't even find the words, something very bro-y and arrogant or pretentious about them? There's just something about them that rubs me wrong, and this song just continues to fuel the sentiment.
