Yeah, my mom is a lot like this. She gets mad at me and my brother when we're watching stuff with her sometimes, because he and I like to dissect the movie/show while we watch, nitpick plotholes, comment on camera angles and symbolism, and try to predict what will happen next based on storytelling tropes etc, and she just wants to watch without the peanut gallery making a running commentary.
