I ended my work week a few hours back with a video-call-meeting that ended with the external company guy basically freaking out about how awesome I was for making something cool with the tool he made, and my coworkers also on the call (both in my department and in another department I do stuff for) suddenly turning on their mics to gush that yes indeed, I am mind-bogglingly awesome. I am not exaggerating, that is actually how the meeting ended.

And on the one hand that's a great note to end the work week on, but on the other hand it makes me all the more frustrated that my organization's HR refuses to even consider me for the full-time version of my part-time position, even though we're understaffed at the moment and have both a full-time and another part-time position available, solely because I don't have a degree.

Also reflux is killing me but that's standard. At least it's the weekend now and I can focus on writing fic that probably is not anywhere remotely approaching awesome.
