Description: The 'It doesn't have to be like this [two people holding hands while a third reaches out to them dejectedly, indicating a love triangle], when it can also be like this [three people holding hands, with one person in the middle]'-Meme

Text: I'm polyam, and I dislike how many people use V-shaped polyships just to punt one character to the side, like 'look at me, not breaking up the (other) ship!' and never having them interact with the actual couple of the story.

It's often painfully clear the author can't actually fathom polyamory and has no clue how people work through jealousy or what's attractive about having metamours/what compersion is

It makes me feel lonely and sad in a genre that should make me feel fluffy and happy :( but I don’t want to make people feel bad
