Yeah, this is very true. I mean, I love music, including very romantic and/or sexual music. But I guess I tend to relate to it more like I relate to a fictional narrative. I can vibe with the sexiness and the romance, but I don't usually see myself in the lyrics with songs like that. They're more fictional and hypothetical.

In fact, maybe the reason why Faded's lyrics bug me (when I let myself thing about them) is because I do relate to the situation being sung about. I relate too much to getting this kind of pushy, horndog, player attention from men. (I know, I know, we're supposed to assume the girl is actually hot for him, and is just playing hard to get. I just...hate that narrative, lol.)

Yeah, I know exactly what you mean. Some lyrics can be platonic and others that sound like love songs are just metaphors, and others yet, well you can dance to the lyrics and vibe to the energy but not the meaning. I feel that.

And yeah I know how that feels. :( When it's clearly a song from the enemy side but it's still a fun song to jam to.
