136. I... kinda agree. So many young girls participate in fandom, which is one of the reasons I tend to be outspoken about fandom's problematic elements. That and when things bug me, I say so. Fandom can have great transformative where women can celebrate other women, but female characters are also bashed or ignored too often.

Hey, "Women in the Refrigerator Syndrome" is out there. I just had a serious discussion with the president of my Sci-Fi club about it. I think things in the comic industry are changing, even if it seems to be taking its sweet time sometimes.

I can identify with the character, because I go through periods of mania excitement where I aggressively pursue a project that I think is going to change the world in some significant way. I think deep down, people know they need innovators and crave excitement, but they resent the people who bring about that change and excitement. They're just haters.
