I thought the storyline would have worked better with the Master being the Timeless Child too. I would've liked to see how the Doctor would've reacted to knowing that her oldest friend/enemy was murdered countless times to give every Time Lord the ability to regenerate. But the Master lies a lot, so who knows, maybe a future episode will show that the Master was actually the Timeless Child or that there were more Timeless Children.

I just don't like how the Timeless Child made the Doctor this ultra special person when the reason I love them is that they're just an ordinary Time Lord who wanted to explore the universe and help people. And I really didn't like how the two-parter just brushed aside the fact that the Doctor had endured a lot of unimaginable trauma that was then resolved with her being reminded of who she was or something.

+1000 I always prefer stories about ordinary people doing good things over extraordinary people being destined for greatness, and I always loved the idea of the Doctor, while amazing to us humans, being an absolutely mediocre Time Lord. That meant more to me.
