This. They're not excellent, but in every case it's just one sentence. I mainly find them meh. Which, like, so what?

Yeah exactly, it's definitely not great but I'm not gonna stop reading because of a dumb line

I also think that a lot of writing looks a lot worse when you pick one sentence and isolate it from anything else in the story and focus it on it exclusively

As a fic writer, a lot of stories have a clanger line or more. You're reading it for that one jewel in the muck.

I do back out if a story's really shitty, but one line won't matter.
