I don't have my LOTR books in front of me, so going to have to go with movie quotes, since that's what is freshest on my mind. Two stand out for me.

The moment where Sam says to Frodo: "Don't go where I can't Follow."

And then where Boromir says ""I would have followed You, my brother... my captain... my king."
