Isn't Jamie based on a Doctor Who companion named Jamie? After I heard that, I realized that this show is just idfic.

Not that there's anything wrong with that, but it's kind of lame lol.

I'm going to write a time travel novel about my boyfriend, Jack Markless.

Yes, you know, I think I heard like she was originally doing Dr. Who fanfic. I mean, it's not totally file the serial numbers off. But I have also heard that rumor.

There's nothing wrong with Idfic! At the same time, there is something wrong with a complete and total lack of self awareness. It's like listening to the Bridgerton author speak about the "one scene" in the Duke and I and just like... you want to back away slowly.

Nothing wrong with idfic but she was writing fanfic while calling out ficcers. It's even worse when you consider that she was writing RPF.

Yeah, quite. Authors who get haughty about fanfic kind of annoy me anyway, but Gabaldon's blatant hypocrisy takes it to another level....
