The gameplay was okay, but that game just had so many other problems for me that I was laughing the whole way through (though Reeve has always = yes).

The problem is that Vincent was never really that emo all the time in the original GAME. He had his moments, but for the most part he was just a distant, kinda sarcastic guy.

...Also Hojo. All he needed to do was grow a curly mustache and tie Lucrecia to the railroad tracks 8D

I think part of the emo!Vincent side of DoC is a response to the fandom, honestly, since the cliche is that he's a weepy angstpile uke. And that the only cure to being an angstpile is RAEP. :P But that's fandom, and fandom tends to be... well... *cough* I think you get the picture. ;)

.... OK, now I'm thinking of Vincent as Dudley D-Right and laughing. EVIL, I say! EVIL! XD

Which would be a good part of why I hate that game with my very soul D: It was built solely for a retarded side of the fandom that doesn't know what the fuck it's doing, and while others may garner enjoyment from it, that people with no grasp on characterization have had their conclusions reaffirmed kills me.

Oh, and that whole bit with the octagon of "GO VINCENT" and the "CONNECT TO HER HEART" bullshit was just WAY too much to handle.

ALSO ROFL MENTAL IMAGE

... I see your point. Still, I enjoy it- but I generally focus on 'wheee, jump and shoot things! :D' when I'm not focused on fangirling over Reeve (or searching for all the lovely Reeve/Vincent subtext my perverted little mind can drag out).

Pretty much every woman in the game (except Tifa and, to an extent, Shalua) bothered the hell out of me. I REALLY could have done without the massively inbred love triangle bullshit. And I spent a lot of time wanting to bitchslap Lucretia. And dropkick Shelke and Yuffie out of the airship. (Shelke was just... there. And I've disliked Yuffie since the first game- damn materia thief. >_<)

And now for some reason I'm seeing Cait Sith cosplaying as Underdog. I need to go to BED.

Oh, I loved the sniper level in Edge because sniping always = yes and Vincent looks damn good with a maxed out assault rifle. If the game focused solely on shooting the shit out of things, I would have enjoyed it; it was fun without being difficult and stuff. Sadly the story was just so BOGUS after about chapter seven that I can't play past there anymore :(

ALSO seeing the spear turtle dudes from the original game (in the path to nibelheim reactor) was like a whole day's worth of glee.

YunaLucrecia REALLY needed to go away and stop ruining already establish canon, Shelke had shitty voice acting, Rosso was a cheap Metal Gear Solid knockoff and just fuck Yuffie.

gdkjghdkjfhjkd that is glorious.

I liked the airship level, but that was for Cid. <3

The Sahagin! :D Oh man, those were so much fun. I loved that whole level, and wandering through the mansion. So creepy.

...... I like you. :D <3
