I mean yeah he's a bit obsessed with yeti and sounds like an Aussie Fox Mulder 90% of the time but I feel like his function is to be the glue that holds the rest of them together. I've listened to episodes when he's missing and they're not that great

I will say that Dan has gotten better at not shoe-horning yeti into everything. Or using "back in the day" as a vague term to refer to any time from ancient Greece to the 1980s. Or mispronouncing Anna's last name...I guess I have a whole list of Dan-related pet peeves.
