I'm a positive reinforcement dog trainer. Canine Intervention is really bumming me out. Caesar Milan was really bad for dogs, and I hope we don't see another resurgence in aversive techniques.

Me too. I have to stay up to date because of my career. But I read the news, I don't watch it. Watching it on tv makes me too angry. reading does too, but not to quite the same level.

I Care A Lot.

I get that it's supposed to make me angry, but I literally wanted to kill that conniving wench the whole time.

Ugh. Cesar Milan was the worst, and I couldn't watch his show past a few episodes. It made me too angry, and it makes me angry any time anyone promotes him or speaks of him positively. His "training" methods are full on abuse. That is absolutely not petty. Totally a legit reason not to watch something.

I can't watch shows where animals are hurt anymore since I've gotten a cat. Doesn't matter how the pet got hurt or if at the end they are fine again. I just end up imagining my girl being hurt and feeling miserable and overprotective and wanting to throw things at the tv. I used to watch a lot of animal planet with my mother before I got a cat. My mother doesn't get why I won't watch those shows with her anymore.

Ugh, I hate that guy too!! Even before I had a dog, watching that show was so unpleasant!

Does HBO Max count? My sister has the addon for Hulu but I guess it doesn't have ALL the stuff for HBO Max. I want to watch What Ever Happened to Baby Jane (I am on a horror movie kick) and HBO Max is the only place streaming it.

ETA: I just found out YOU can get that stuff as long as you log onto the HBO Max site! So I am totally watching that movie this weekend.

Sounds like the problem is Hulu, not HBO Max.

Not so much angry as euuuurgh.

Started a K-Drama this week called Alice involving time-travel, the plot seemed interesting and it went with the alternate-time-line direction wrt time-travel instead of it being a loop(so you can't change your past, you create a new future time-line). Okay that's fine, protags mom stays in the past to raise him away from her old life, she inevitably ends up dying, very standard.

But then the protag meets his mom in his present time, who is a similar age to him, played by the exact same actress, obviously. And who the show decides is the protagonist's love-interest, and I have never been so uncomfortable watching a show where one min you'll have a mom+son bonding scene and then the next, oh look he's having a ~romantic moment with her present counter part(PLAYED BY THE SAME ACTRESS), and it was so creepy and so weird that I dropped it. Couldn't get past that at all. Yuck.

Oh wooowwww. Yeah that's pretty uncomfortable viewing right there.

Marvel is an endless stream of market triangulation shit. Wanadavision could of had some decent character beats, but they just had to do shout outs to everything else.

I love the MCU, but on tv it has not been nearly as great as in film. Wandavision started out good. But it trickled out and I just wasn't enjoying it by the end.

I think the movies range from marginally watchable to shitshows that make no sense except as a steam of overbudgeted superbowl adverts.

That's cool and I get it. That's how I feel about the DCU. The Aquaman and the first Wonder Woman movie are decent on their own. The other DC movies are terrible, and as a whole the universe is completely terrible and awful.

DA - I feel completely the opposite about Wandavision. I could barely get through the first two episodes, but then it just got progressively better from there to the end. (I haven't seen the finale yet, though, so we'll see how that goes.)
