Exactly. It's part and parcel of the overall shitty state of gender identity, where a man being un-masculine in any way whatsoever can't be allowed to be a man, he must be some form of woman. I'm glad that breaking through expectations and flaunting expressions has allowed some transwomen to find out that they are trans but by the same token, if someone says they aren't trans they are cis and this is just how they dress/look/what they enjoy, no one has the right to say no, you're actually trans because I think so and look how woke I am.

It ain't woke if you're doing a full 360 and reinforcing shitty gender roles rather than breaking through them.

Exactly. There's literally nothing progressive about deciding that a man who isn't traditionally masculine must have actually been born female.

And if this is a non western/US based media fandom, it can happen that this gender stereotyping meets a massively cringey dose of cultural ignorance/insensitivity/borderline racism because things some characters do get interpreted as "feminine" even though they really aren't in the original cultural context.
