This made me think of the new Shadow and Bone series! I agree, I think there's been a rash of fantasy lately (particularly on Netflix) that will probably not get past their first seasons. Cursed comes to mind. I enjoy pretty much all of them, though, and I'm loving having such a huge selection at the moment. I really hope the trend doesn't drop off.
