My cousin lost an eye in an accident. He recently posted a video of Sammy Davis Jr talking about how he had to adapt to the loss of an eye and relearn all kinds of things that require depth perception. It was hard but he adapted. My cousin said it was a pretty good explanation of his own experience.

That's not re-learning to see depth, that's just learning to see without depth.

Okay, be pedantic. You learn to compensate for the loss of the eye and to do the things that you need depth perception in order to do. I can't tell you what that looks like to the person with one eye. You better go argue with my cousin.
