Um... I'll be honest. I can't tell if you're trolling or not. When you say "downstairs," do you mean in your own house? Or that you went downstairs to go out with these people?

I mean, I assume your roommates got tested and got the OK before they moved in, but the fact they brought over their friends (who you also don't know, and possibly can't verify are not contagious) could be seen as irresponsible, depending on where you all live.

It's hard for me to dredge up a lot of sympathy. You're upset that your friend thinks you don't care about not spreading Covid, but I don't see anything in your post suggesting you DO care about not spreading it, especially as a person who previously had it.

I haven't been to any gathering in well since February 2020, not even to visit with a handful of friends. I mask up, stay away from folks, and try to not spend more than 5-10 minutes at a store, and certainly not during busy hours. I do my part, so it pisses me off whenever I hear about random strangers just getting together like the pandemic is over. I know where I live, the pandemic absolutely is NOT over, and yes, new strains are popping up. I'm very disappointed that our state leaders aren't being more restrictive, though I also understand they want to avoid an angry mob of idiots who already think they're above the rules, and can't even manage to put their mask on properly at times. But every time I see a bunch of maskholes denying reality in the news, I just know it means a new spreader event. Which sets all of us back.
