Yeah, I feel like that's exactly it--Alex gets bullied but he kind of likes and encourages it... and that's why it's fun and hot.

I wouldn't quite say it was "hot", but I did get a weird kick out of all the things Rhod did to Alex. Somehow that did it for me in a different way than the bits between Greg and Alex.

I agree with this. Honestly Rhod Gilbert's treatment of Alex is something I found really enjoyable to watch.
