I just don't find him funny and he gives me the impression he's trying really hard to get people to like him. And that kind of makes me sad for him (but not very much, just in a please be yourself kind of way). But there's just something annoying and slightly insincere about him that just doesn't sit right with me. And I don't find him charming or endearing. Idk. Might just be me.

I thought he was hilarious and endearing in the play One Man Two Guvnors. And sometimes it feels like he's playing a similar character on his show (or in other comedy contexts), but it just gets tiresome and loses its charm.
