That's actually a common problem - talking over an idea at length can give your brain the same sense of completion as writing them down, so when you sit down to actually write the story, you tap out because it feels like retreading old ground.

Oh noooooo I have this awesome fic that I've planned out so heavily because the cast of characters is so large. T_T Well, I suppose, this means I need to set this fic aside and stop taking notes on it.

Off to write One Hitters on pairs I have little investment in, so at least I can get that stuff out there and not think too hard about them. I do want to keep my creativity going.

DA -- if you've been planning but not talking, your brain may not be done with the story yet. But it is probably a good idea to start writing it because it *is* possible to plan and think about a story until the idea is worn out. Do not ask me how I know this. :(
