The 'only' adaptation? CoughGRANADAcough. Pretty much by the ACD playbook with one example of him being behind the scenes elsewhere.
BBC Sherlock though? Couldn't agree more. Plus Andrew Scott was a Very Large Ham in it.

Fair enough, I was trying to streamline the text in the secret image.

I adore the Granada series and I'd say that Jeremy Brett is my definitive Holmes. All I meant was that I don't think ACD did a particularly good job with Moriarty in the first place and I don't like the stories he shows up in. So the Granada series did it exactly right as a faithful adaptation.

My thing about Elementary is that as a more "inspired by" type of adaptation, they surprised me by delivering a version of Moriarty that I found interesting, relevant, and compelling.

AYRT Fair enough. I've seen very little of Elementary so can't speak to that.
