shrug

I am, when it comes to relationships, *far* more interested in the loyalty, the quiet subtle intimacy, the little moments like making food for someone or caring for them when they're sick, than where the dicks get put.

While it's not impossible to get that quiet, subtle intimacy in a sex-scene... most on-screen attempts are just, they're just terrible. Completely fucking terrible fucking.

So I'm fine when they keep it subtext, especially when the subtext is so thick you can cut it with a knife.

Hard Same. It's always my biggest critique of many romance pairing in media. Just meeting someone and showing them having sex is often used as a substitute for actually building a relationship and the relationship and the subsequent plot suffer for it.
