I love it because everyone pretends like the stakes are high when they couldn't possibly be lower. No one's gonna get rid of the monarchy any time soon, so all they have to lose is their dignity. And that's always going to be hilarious.

Americans might feel like that. I see it hasn't occurred to you that British people might feel very differently.

Besides, the Queen has acted with perfect dignity all through this. It's Harry and Meghan who have acted like entitled whinging assholes. The notable exception is of course the racism she experienced second hand in the royal family. Everything else is just the whining of a Hollywood failure who had unrealistic expectations, didn't look before she jumped and is now crying to the world about it.

I haven't taken Brits feelings into my considerations, because their feelings don't matter.

The fact is, the monarchy isn't going anywhere. The stakes are low because it's just family drama blown out nationwide. It's drama, and will never amount to anything but drama. The family isn't going anywhere. They aren't going to be dethroned. Britain will lose exactly fuck all in terms of international regard because your royalty are mascots and represent nothing of your government, and nothing will change because any of this happened.
