Oh boy I hope that Harry who's famous for dressing up as a Nazi and repeatedly calling his colleague racial slurs doesn't do anything whacky or uncharacteristic.

At least people won't dismiss the peculiar misogynistic treatment all royal women have suffered for years, including paparazzi publishing nude photos of them, and horrendous abuse about their weight because that towering paragon of journalistic integrity Buzzfeed carefully chose some curated articles to portray some false equivalence ignoring the decade of abuse prior.

The British public will surely respond well to a millionaire C-list American actress who both wants to campaign for social justice and be a literal princess complain about her treatment when she thought being royalty would let her keep her celebrity lifestyle instead of being like joining a firm with very particular rules and expectations.

It looks like Harry has actually grown up, matured, and changed. Marrying Meghan probably had a lot to do with that. But there isn't much evidence of more recent racism on his part, and in fact he's very much stood up for his wife and defended her against the tremendous amount of racism aimed her way.

Americans might feel like that. I see it hasn't occurred to you that British people might feel very differently.

Besides, the Queen has acted with perfect dignity all through this. It's Harry and Meghan who have acted like entitled whinging assholes. The notable exception is of course the racism she experienced second hand in the royal family. Everything else is just the whining of a Hollywood failure who had unrealistic expectations, didn't look before she jumped and is now crying to the world about it.

I'm sympathetic to the whole racism thing, but honestly what did Meghan expect out of the royal family? Completely naive to think things would be better than what she got. I mean this is all very entertaining to watch but you do kind of reap what you sow.

I don't think Meghan "sowed" anything but it's pretty clear that the royals were dicks to Diana and are not expected to be very helpful when it comes to things like mental health.

I kind of clocked out when Oprah was 'HORRIFIED' or whatever it was she was shooting for. It really didn't feel like a genuine reaction to a third-hand description of a royal half-wit wondering about the colour of a baby.

As for the drama, I guess this is just a little sour-tasting given the expense. Not that I'm funding the bill, but a bunch of rich people making their own lives difficult when they're not even doing as much as Harry is doing to get themselves out of it has never sat right with me.

To be fair, the British royal family brought any and all news media shit upon themselves by giving British tabloids so much control over them. As well as being a downright horrible, racist family from the start.

As far as Meghan, it wouldn't matter who it was, as an outspoken American, they would have been hated by British tabloids regardless.
