Fun story: I was just about to make a thread here about how I posted a ficlet to AO3 tonight that proved wildly popular within the first two hours, and I'm now considering posting it to my otherwises fairly quiet main tumblr and hence "outing" myself as a ficwriter to people who follow me mainly for the occasional bit of meta.

So to answer your question: I publish my fic, but I've kind of been trying to keep it separate from my main. I don't really know why, though. None of my fandom accounts have any connection to my RL (different e-mails and all), except for the occasional mention of my nationality.

I just 'outed' myself a few months ago in reverse! My AO3 account predates my Tumblr by a few years. I posted some ficlets for a friend on Tumblr that got popular, and I was like, "... Screw it, I'm going to put them on AO3 so they're easier to find AND let people know this is me on AO3." It's a small fandom, and I think several people had made the connection already anyway. So I guess this is me egging you on if you're on the fence. :D
