NAYRT - I suspect it's a goldilocks thing. You (figurative) need a certain amount of distance from the text in order to not feel confronted by it personally, but you also want it to be relatable in order to achieve maximum vicarious enjoyment. For some people, feminizing the bottom heightens the vicarious enjoyment without forcing them to confront how the fic relates to them and their lived experience. I'm not majorly into feminization, but it makes sense to me.

I don't know what to tell you if you don't understand why anyone would see a big difference between a male character stuck in a stereotypical feminine role and a female character stuck in a stereotypical feminine role.
