My stance is this: if I have childhood/teenage memories that I want to revisit through fiction, inappropriate or not, it's pointless to try and enforce an age limit for that. I'll fucking do it at the retirement home and post it online, just try and stop me.

Yup, I feel this.

Alternatively, I never got to experience any of that teenage "first time" stuff, which leaves me feeling kind of...idk, nostalgic for what I missed out on? Fiction is a harmless way of indulging the part of my Id that really wishes I'd had any of the formative teenage experiences so many other people did.

As a queer person, this. I WISH I had been able to explore my sexuality as a teen. Maybe if I had, I wouldn't have ended up with so many hangups about it later.
