AYRT Hmm, that’s an interesting thought. I didn’t own any books when I was a kid, but that was because my parents couldn’t afford them. Buying books seemed like something rich people did because I didn’t have any friends who owned books either. Everybody went to either the school library or the public one. Sometime around middle school, my parents got better jobs and gave me a stack of books for my birthday. I felt like such a rich kid. Lol

The public library’s come a long way (in my area, anyway). I can check out tools and other equipment along with books, movies, and CDs. I’ve never had a need for it, but I can reserve a 3D printer too. I noticed an uptake in people visiting the library during the recession and it was always busy until the pandemic happened.
