In a way I agree, but also with experience moderating my own fandom space, all it takes is one fucker to ruin it all and necessitate spelling out explicitly "stop bringing up underage stuff in casual conversation when we told you already that we know already that you (a 20+ adult*) write frequently explicit fics about kids fucking."

It's hard for me to be too dissatisfied with rules because I've been on the both ends of them, and it's not easy to make something that would satisfy everyone. I guess if I had to make a rule for underage ships it'd be like this:

Underage romance is fine, but please don't make explicit porn of them. If you want full out kinky porn, just read/write stuff featuring adult characters. Please.

This will dissatisfy the underage teenagers want to write porn for South Park kid characters, but hey, they could just move on to writing for the adult characters in there instead? Isn't South Park supposed to be explicitly for adults anyway? Idk, things get difficult when underage dick is involved.

*Just mentioning it here because I thought it was a fun addition. The person who would keep writing underage porn was also ageist towards people older than them. Common insult they liked to use was to laugh at people in their 30s still in fandom. So, uh, hmm. Wonder how that's going to work out for them in a couple of years.

That's been my experience with 20-somethings laughing at people in fandom past 30 as well. They always turn out to be creeps, who surround themselves with minors, and will often use infantilizing language when describing themselves, almost like they hope people will mistake them for teenagers without them having to outright lie about it.

I do not trust these people at all, and it's even worse when they act like they're the "safe adult" who will protect kids from those other nasty adults, and meanwhile encourage the kids to open up to them in detail about all their sexual traumas, and eeeeeew

You're not "still a kid inside" you're a grown-ass adult who watches cartoons - which is fine but don't kid yourself (heh) that you're any different from any other grown-ass adult who watches cartoons. Your online social circle shouldn't be full of teenagers.
