If you say so. The OP doesn't want to pay, but seems to feel like they should feel guilty about it, even if they don't actually feel guilty, so I was offering an alternative to read books for free that a lot of people use with no moral quandaries.

There's no reason to feel guilty about accepting books that are given away for free as part of a publisher's marketing.

I agree, but the secret implies, while not feeling guilty, the OP feels they should - I feel I should value the time and effort more of the authors whose books I read... I don't know why I don't just pirate books I would like but can't get legitimately, but THAT would make me feel guilty....
